Laurie Buckhout

Laurie is a retired Army officer who served 26 years in leadership roles around the world, including commanding troops during the 2003 invasion of Iraq. After retiring, she founded and grew a defense consulting firm to over $43 million before selling it, and has since served on boards and worked with federal and congressional organizations. A highly decorated veteran, Laurie now lives in North Carolina with her husband and two sons, where she remains active in veterans’ advocacy and community causes. Laurie is a committed constitutional conservative who proudly cast her first vote for Ronald Reagan in 1980.
