WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Winning For Women Action Fund (WFW AF) announced its endorsements of Alexandra del Moral Mealer for Congress in Texas’s 9th Congressional District and Jessica Hart Steinmann for Congress in Texas’s 8th Congressional District. Both candidates embody the values of principled, solutions-oriented conservatism and represent the kind of leadership our party needs to build a strong House majority.

Alex and Jessica are exactly the kind of serious, governing conservatives we need representing Texas in Congress.”

“When Republicans have the opportunity to elect strong conservative candidates in safe seats, we need to seize it,” added Meredith Allen, Executive Director of WFW AF. “Alex and Jessica will fight tirelessly for the people of Texas — working with President Trump to promote prosperity at home and peace through strength abroad. They are ideal candidates to join the ranks of conservatives in Congress, and WFW AF is fully committed to ensuring their success.”

Alexandra del Moral Mealer (TX-09)

A West Point graduate, combat veteran, Harvard JD/MBA, and mother of two, Alexandra del Moral Mealer (TX-09) brings a rare blend of military, legal, and business leadership to her campaign. A former Explosive Ordnance Disposal officer who served in Afghanistan, Alex later built a career in energy finance in Houston. She is no stranger to tough political battles either. In 2022, she ran a strong grassroots campaign against liberal Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo, and recently served as Public Safety Chair for METRO Houston. She has started her campaign strong by raising over $615,000 in Q3.

“We need leaders in Washington who reflect conservative values — responsibility, service, and strength,” said Alexandra del Moral Mealer, candidate for Texas’s 9th Congressional District. “That’s why I’m proud to have the support of Winning For Women Action Fund as I bring my background in investment banking and the Army bomb squad to this race. Their early investment helps ensure principled, results-oriented conservatives can lead our party forward. I’m honored by their confidence and eager to get to work for the people of Texas.”

Jessica Hart Steinmann (TX-08)

A former Trump Administration and Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) alum, Jessica Hart Steinmann served as Director of the Office for Victims of Crime at the Department of Justice and later as General Counsel at the America First Policy Institute, where she fought to advance key conservative economic and national security policies. She has quickly gained momentum in her Houston-area race, obtaining endorsements from key Texas leaders and raising over $625,000 in Q3.

“I am deeply grateful for the endorsement of Winning For Women Action Fund and for their commitment to supporting conservative female leaders who are ready to stand up and lead,” said Jessica Hart Steinmann, candidate for Texas’s 8th Congressional District. “As a mom, a Christian, and a lifelong conservative, I believe our nation is strongest when we protect life, defend freedom and put families first. From my work in President Trump’s Department of Justice to leading at the America First Policy Institute, I’ve spent my career fighting for those values, and in Congress, I will continue that fight for our children, our communities, and the country we love.”

WFW AF has a proven record of supporting top-tier conservative women whose leadership has helped deliver and defend a durable Republican majority in Congress. This strategy has contributed to historic victories for women  including in safe Republican seats — such as:

  • Rep. Julie Fedorchak (ND-AL), who became the first woman to represent North Dakota in the U.S. House after WFW AF spent nearly $70,000 supporting her competitive primary campaign.

  • Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL), who became Alabama’s first female U.S. Senator after the WFW entities raised over $200,000 in hard dollars for her primary campaign.

  • Rep. Stephanie Bice (OK-05), who became the first Iranian American elected to Congress after receiving nearly $200,000 in hard dollar support from WFW entitiesand a six-figure investment from WFW AF.

This is just the beginning of WFW AF’s endorsements for the 2026 cycle, with more announcements planned in the coming months as the organization continues to grow its support for exceptional women leaders in Congress and back more qualified conservative candidates in key races across the country.
