WASHINGTON, D.C. – Winning For Women Action Fund (WFW AF) today announced a new $320,000 ad campaign in South Carolina’s 1st Congressional District to support conservative candidate Jenny Costa Honeycutt ahead of the state’s primary on June 9. The significant investment, which includes TV and digital, marks the first outside group to go on the air in the SC-01 race. SC-01 has drawn increased attention from both parties in recent days. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is targeting the seat as part of its “Red to Blue” program, while House Majority PAC has reserved more than $2 million in fall advertising in the district. “Jenny is exactly the kind of leader Republicans need to win and govern,” said Danielle Barrow, President of WFW AF. “She has a proven record of leadership, a deep commitment to her community, and she’s ready to be a voice for them in Washington. Jenny has quickly emerged as a top contender in a crowded Republican primary, raising more donor dollars than any of her opponents. That’s why we’re making a significant early investment to boost her campaign and help Republicans hold this seat in November.” “National Democrats are already planning to spend millions on this race,” said Meredith Allen Dellinger, Executive Director of WFW AF. “We’ve invested to ensure voters hear Jenny’s message and to help her build the momentum needed to advance through a competitive primary and win. Jenny is a fantastic, qualified candidate who would serve her community well in Congress, and we’re committed to helping her do just that. ”Jenny Costa Honeycutt – “Fighter. Leader. Proven Conservative.” – SC-01 |
